CapSha, CGIAR Sustainable Farming, and IRRI Education Begin Pilot Testing of New Soil Health Learning Program

Last week, the CGIAR Capacity Sharing Accelerator, CGIAR Sustainable Farming, and IRRI Education convened the pilot course orientation for Understanding Soil Health for Sustainable Agriculture: Principles and Practice.

The course is being developed to strengthen shared understanding of soil health and its role in sustainable agriculture, food security, climate resilience, and ecosystem health, with a particular focus on the African context.

Through the pilot, participants are helping test the course content, learning experience, and platform features before the course is formally launched. Their feedback will help ensure the course is practical, inclusive, and relevant to different users, from researchers and extension actors to policymakers, investors, and partners working across agrifood systems.

Hosted through the CapSha Digital Academy and connected to the CapSha Marketplace, the course reflects CapSha’s wider goal: creating a shared space where CGIAR and partners can connect capacity needs with existing and co-developed learning opportunities.
